Lenovo launches new laptop models

Lenovo has released five new business model laptops into the Australian market.

The units include the W701 and W701ds workstations, the X201 laptop, the X201 tablet and the slimmed down X201s.

The X201 features up to an Intel Core i7 processor and a 12.1-inch screen, but the features are customisable and pricing when purchased from Lenovo. The vendor claims the X201s is a ‘featherweight fighter’ and weighs less than 1.2kg and provides up to 12 hours of battery life when using a 9-cell battery.

The X201 tablet notebook also has a 12.1-inch screen, but adds finger/pen based touch screen capabilities and can be turned into a slate. It can use up to 8GB of RAM and provides Gigabit Ethernet and 3G reception.

The W701 and W701ds use 17-inch screens and Intel Core i7 processors as well as NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800 and 3800 series graphics cards. The Wacom digitiser pads seen in previous models has also been kept in the design as well as the built-in colour calibrator.
